What’s next in the village?
In next week’s Emmerdale episodes, Ryan’s mum Irene dies and Charity’s in everyone’s bad books when she fails to be there for him.
Elsewhere, Liv’s case gets fresh hope and Dawn and Billy set a wedding date, unaware that Meena is planning her deadly revenge.
Here are the 13 moments to watch out for.
1. Ryan receives terrible news
Ryan’s phone rings frequently, and when he answers, he learns that his mother, Irene, has passed away. His first thought is to call Charity, but she is too preoccupied with her playdate with Vanessa and the boys to pick up the phone.
Ryan soon tells Mackenzie about his bad news, and she tries to contact Charity as well, knowing that she has to be by Ryan’s side. Charity, on the other hand, ignores the calls in favor of spending time with Vanessa.
Mackenzie shows his soft side and offers to support Ryan and drive him to his brother’s house.
2. Charity’s behaviour hurts Ryan and Mack
Mack tries to get Ryan to inform Charity about Irene’s death the next day, but it is Mack who finally does, and Charity is furious that no one told her sooner.
Charity is devastated when she realizes how much she has harmed Ryan and Mack, and she even irritates Vanessa by demonstrating a self-centered attitude.
3. Mackenzie crosses the line with Dawn
Hurt, Mack drowns his emotions in alcohol and strikes up a conversation with Dawn, who is dealing with her own issues with Billy.
Meanwhile, Vanessa takes the unexpected step of urging Charity to help Mack. Mack notices Charity and Vanessa together before Charity can make amends with him.
Feeling spurned and jealous, Mack lunges at Dawn for a kiss.
4. Vanessa tries to smooth things over with Charity and Mack
Billy is irritated when he hears Mack tried to kiss Dawn the day after the drunken pass attempt. Meanwhile, Mack and Charity have ended their relationship.
Vanessa, on the other hand, plays an unlikely matchmaker when she tells Mack that Charity was genuinely on her way to apologize.
Will Vanessa’s surprise efforts lead to Charity and Mack reuniting?
5. Vinny is broken by bad news about Liv
Liv’s release date is approaching, and Vinny is counting on Manpreet to provide the police with the evidence they require. Manpreet, however, is traumatized and her recollections are hazy, so she can’t recall the particular information Meena provided regarding Ben’s death.
It’s bad news when DS Rogers offers Vinny an update. Liv cannot be disclosed due to a lack of concrete evidence.
Vinny’s devastated and makes a desperate plea to Manpreet and asks her to lie to the police.
6. Liv’s case receives fresh hope
The next day, Liv calls Vinny from prison and tells him that new evidence has emerged and a court hearing has been requested.
With renewed hope, she asks Vinny to contact Aaron to tell him the good news and Vinny agrees.
7. The Dingles are worried when Aaron refuses to return
The celebrations at Wishing Well are in full gear with the prospect of Liv’s release, but the mood shifts when Chas says Aaron isn’t coming home.
Vinny is concerned that Aaron’s refusal to return may rekindle Liv’s drinking, and he is unsure of what to do.
On the day of the hearing, Liv prepares to return home, and Vinny, feeling bad but unwilling to break her heart, lies to her that Aaron is on his way to see her.
8. Liam and Jacob are thrown by a police update
After the recent Meena revelations, the dust begins to settle, as Liam observes as the police pack up the investigation van. Liv’s hearing is discussed by Leyla and Jacob, and neither of them can believe what has happened.
The police approach Liam and Jacob outside the town hall, and DS Rogers informs them that they’ve received evidence suggesting Meena may have departed the country. The news has shocked them.
9. Leyla tries to support Jacob
Jacob rages at Vinny before storming off, needing someone to lash out at.
Leyla is helpless when she discovers Jacob at Leanna’s burial. She attempts to imagine what David would do to communicate with him and comes up with a solution to assist him cope with his sadness. Will her strategy work?
10. The pub goes up for auction
When a “For Auction” sign emerges in The Woolpack’s window, Chas and Paddy realize the brutal reality of their future.
It feels like the end of an era for them as they lament the loss of their home and livelihood. The demise of The Woolie as they know it, however, hasn’t put an end to Cain and Al’s war; the men make it obvious that it’s far from over.
11. Manpreet struggles with her recovery
Still struggling after her ordeal at the hands of Meena, Manpreet suffers with constant anxiety and physical frailty, wondering if she’ll ever feel herself again.
She starts to think she’d be better off moving away from the village for a fresh start, but heartbroken Charles is adamant she should stay. Can he convince her?
12. Ellis and Belle try to keep their relationship quiet
Despite Cain and Al’s continued feud, Ellis and Belle are keen to spend private time together to avoid the family trouble. However, alone time is becoming increasingly difficult to come by.
When their intentions to meet at the B&B are thwarted, Belle begins to worry that they will ever be able to find time together, until she devises a cunning plan later.
13. Dawn and Billy fix a wedding date – and Meena knows!
After their last dispute, in which the subject of Malone’s murder resurfaced, Billy is eager to reconcile with Dawn and make it obvious that he doesn’t think she’s anything like Meena.
Billy declares his love for Dawn and informs her that he wishes to marry her as soon as possible. They select a date.
They post the announcement on her social media in an euphoric glow about their future, completely unaware that Meena is enraged by the wedding news and plotting the ultimate vengeance…
