Paul Williams hasn’t been on the screen in a while, but Doug finally had a chance to organize his dressing area this past weekend. He naturally felt incredibly sensitive about the entire situation.
Doug wrote, “Well, I cleaned out my dressing room a week ago Saturday,” on his Twitter page. It was sad for a number of reasons, yes. 1. It was like a ghost town and had been my home for more than 40 years. The new owner of TV City isn’t actually maintaining it now that Price has left. All of the sets were cramped and worn out.
Naturally, a lot of The Young and the Restless fans had a lot to say in response to Doug’s tweet. Among the remarks were, “Sorry to hear that. As far as I’m concerned, it’s their loss. Are you referring to Studio City or another location where YR filmed or recorded for so long? Hate to hear you’re officially leaving YR,” accompanied with, “This breaks my heart for you & the cast.” You were entitled to better.
