Viewers of Coronation Street have watched how the cost of living crisis has affected Jenny Connor, the owner of Rovers Return, as she tries to maintain her company.

Viewers of Coronation Street think they know who will succeed Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) in her position as landlady of the Rovers Return.

Fans of the ITV soap opera have recently witnessed the owner struggle to survive as the cost of living problem affects the citizens of Weatherfield.

Jenny acknowledged on Friday’s programme that they are only a few weeks away from closing permanently because to the decline in patronage and escalating costs.

She disclosed the financial predicament to Glenda Shuttleworth and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).

Due to having to reduce their shifts, (Jodie Prenger) would have to raise the cost of drinks and room rentals.

Viewers believe they have figured out who will be the new Weatherfield landlady, despite the fact that she is thinking about selling the pub back to the brewery, Newton and Ridley.

@StVitusDance asked on Twitter: “Daniel and Daisy buy the Rovers?”

“I think Daisy will buy the pub, she wants to buy a house anyhow,” @Zamp69wall continued.

Although other people think Glenda Shuttleworth, the other barmaid, played by Jodie Prenger, would wind as being the next face of the Rovers Return.

@CorrieCulture user @HopingGlendaStaysInCorrieForYears tweeted. She is the future landlady for the Rovers. On the side, she could always perform for Little Big Shotz.

“And when Glenda becomes the landlady of the rovers,” asked @fansvfavourites.

Fans have recently witnessed Daisy and her fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) looking for a place to reside as they are currently sharing a home with his family.

Could purchasing the Rovers Return solve two issues—the inability of the duo to agree on a suitable home and the pub’s urgent need for assistance?

Henry Newton (George Banks), who had his sights set on the bar previously, is returning to Weatherfield, so they might be outmatched.

In response to a question from Digital Spy concerning his previous connection with Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and his desire to own the pub five years ago, he said: “He still feels horrible that he let her down when he was going to buy the Rovers last time and make her the landlady, I think he’s wants to try and right that wrong.

“If nothing else, I hope that will make him look good in the viewers’ eyes. The Rovers is the focal point of the programme; it serves as the gathering spot for everyone and is a truly iconic location.

Will Henry come through and purchase the bar? Or will Daniel and Daisy succeed before him?
