There are a lot of lessons to be learned from Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) current predicament, according to ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers. Even though he’ll probably get better in the future, he should take advantage of the current opportunity to learn from his mistakes.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Danger of Pride
Pride takes on various forms. Curtis is currently feeling incredibly frustrated and discouraged about his circumstances. A stray bullet struck him, ricocheted off something, hit his spine. Despite surviving the procedure, he now has no feeling in his legs. He is unable to walk and might never be able to use his legs again.
He is experiencing a lot of emotions as a result of the situation. He is obviously upset and furious about being in this situation. That is comprehensible. He must overcome that, though, because he is powerless to alter the past.
He must play the hand that has been dealt to him. He has also been feeling a little sorry for himself and angry that this has happened to him.
He is also battling pride, which is another issue. Accepting assistance from others is difficult when one is proud. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) shouldn’t have to assist Curtis for the rest of her life, in Curtis’ opinion. Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), who will be caring for her father, is not who he wants to do it.
That sense of pride is vain. He needs to develop the ability to accept assistance and permit Portia and Trina to express their love for him by helping him. It is challenging to accept assistance because it requires self-humbling. Can Curtis accomplish that?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Live Without Regret
Curtis’ predicament serves as a reminder to viewers to live without regret. Our lives cannot be taken for granted. We only have a short window of time, so we must be efficient with it.
When Trina Robinson apologizes to Curtis for excluding him, she is alluding to this. While apart from Portia, Curtis kissed Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper). When Trina discovered this, she became upset. She chose to side with her mother and gave him the finger.
Even though Curtis might have acted improperly, Trina wasn’t the one who should have punished him. She missed out on meaningful interactions with him. It’s important to forgive quickly and without holding grudges. By doing so, we can maintain our relationships with others and make the most of our opportunities to show love.
