Fans of Coronation Street have already witnessed Stephen Reid take the lives of three citizens of Weatherfield; could a fourth be imminent?
Actor Todd Boyce from Coronation Street has hinted at the identity of the potential victim Stephen Reid would kill next.
Leo Thompkins (played by Joe Frost) was fatally injured when the Canadian businessman threw him from the top of the Underworld plant last year.
Soon after, he killed Rufus Donahue (Steve Meo), who was extorting money from him, and his father Teddy Thompkins (Grant Burgin), who had come looking for his son.
When he planned to murder his fiancée Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox), he attempted to kill a fourth person, but he was unsuccessful when his lies were discovered and she went away.
He might be playing with fire, though, as her son Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) continues to be wary of Stephen.
The ITV soap star explained Stephen and Tim’s interaction to The Mirror, saying: “He sees Tim as an inconvenience, but Tim has kind of lulled Stephen into a false feeling of security.
“Stephen underestimated Tim because of his ego. Tim is keeping his adversary near by letting him continue to reside in the apartment.
The actor acknowledged that because of the intense tension between the two guys, he enjoys acting in scenes with Joe.
He acknowledged there is no love lost between them despite Stephen’s claim that he has no desire to harm Tim.
Tim is kind of placing himself in the most risky situation by getting too involved in Stephen’s life, he said.
“Other folks who had previously been at the location where Tim is now are not here. Tim is treading carefully.
“I don’t see anyone else on the horizon in terms of who could be killed, but they could surprise me at any time since we aren’t that far ahead.”
One enigmatic stranger observed Stephen slip the tie pin that connected him to Rufus’ murder down the drain in recent scenes.
Is it possible that Tim is the one in question and that he has finally rumbled Stephen to death?
The two actors were seen filming earlier this year near the canal where Stephen had thrown Teddy’s body after killing him.
Tim might be able to learn how truly nasty the businessman is while unaware that he is being watched.
