A few weeks ago, Emmerdale had a look that made people’s mouths drop, and it appears that glance wasn’t short-lived!
Viewers surmised that a prolonged glance between Suzy (Martelle Edinborough) and Mary (Louise Jameson) could portend something spectacular approximately a month ago. This speculation might be accurate!
Mary and Suzy have the most exquisitely encouraging friendship. Mary relied on Suzy for support as she negotiated the dating scene after only recently coming out.
Mary also received support from Suzy during the terrible Faye incident, in which she fell for a con artist who defrauded her of thousands of pounds.

Suzy’s recent focus has been on getting ready for Belle (Eden Taylor Draper) and Tom’s (James Chase) nuptials. The work has been especially difficult because of the short notice of the big day. Suzy, though, is an expert and was committed to making everything work.
However, it proves difficult to get this wedding off the ground, in part because the groom vanishes and it appears that the wedding won’t happen for some time.
When they eventually find him, the wedding does go through, but later on when the Dingles start acting raucous, Ruby, Caleb’s wife, interrupts by revealing that her husband has been having an affair with Tracy.
Suzy is left scratching her head when her elegant and peaceful plans go awry. When Mary sees her friend in need, she immediately responds, prepared and eager to help.
When Mary comes to Suzy’s rescue, she cannot contain her gratitude; it is yet another unique moment between these two women. Is friendship the only thing present here?
