Ada Nicodemou, a Greek Cypriot TV personality born in Australia, is currently very busy. This week marks not just the publication of her first children’s book but also the marriage of Leah Patterson, the character she played in the TV series Home and Away on Channel 7.

Before these two significant dates, Ada had an interview with The Greek Herald.

‘I hope it’s a TV event’

Ada has a lengthy history with the hit Australian TV show Home and Away, where she has spent the previous 24 years playing Leah.

In a forthcoming episode that airs on April 9, Leah will wed Justin, her long-term companion and fiancé. “Really nice thing for the fans and for the characters,” according to Ada, is the marriage.

The actress remarked, “It’s nice to just celebrate that they deeply love each other after going through a lot together.”

“A truly beautiful and joyous Home and Away wedding will be shown to the fans.” This wedding is not the type where a terrible thing occurs. It’s good to see someone simply celebrating love, especially after all of the upheaval.

“A really lovely payoff for both characters,” was how the Greek Cypriot actress put the wedding.

It differs from those youthful loves. Ada remarked, “They have this really nice adult relationship where they look out for each other.”

They encourage one another, have their own children, have experienced a lot together, and although they didn’t have to be married, they ultimately chose to do so.

“Leah has been married numerous times in the past, but I believe that this is ‘the one.'”

The wedding episode is one that “everyone’s looking forward to,” according to Ada.

She remarked, “I hope it is a little TV event.”

“There were certain TV moments that you just remember growing up, in my memory. Since the fans have experienced a lot with these two characters, it would be a wonderful conclusion, therefore I sincerely hope it is one of those.

Mia Megastar

Ada also disclosed that Mia Megastar, her debut children’s book, will be out on April 3. She claimed that it was geared toward tween girls (8–12 years old) and that it was somewhat based on her childhood.

Ada remarked, “It’s a lovely, enjoyable book that is all about family and community.”

“Mia is a little Greek Australian girl who lives above her parents and grandparents’ shop. The business is located downstairs, creating a small community similar to the one I grew up in.

Like me, Mia enjoys putting on plays. One day, she and her school attend a performance, and the production inspires her so much that she decides she wants to be an actor. After that, she gathers her friends and launches a drama club.

In addition to examining topics of friendship and culture, this book is entertaining for children and provides them with a brief overview of the performing industry. It also includes Greek recipes, acting advice, and other related content.

The star of Home and Away expressed her excitement at Mia Megastar’s release.

“I’m quite thrilled about it. Ada remarked, “I thought the story was really cute and I really liked it.”

As it’s the first of three volumes, I believe that everyone ought to support it. Additionally, having a little fun while discussing Greek culture is a really great touch.

In addition to encouraging young girls to just be kind to one another and stay with friends—I think it’s incredibly essential to be kind—I hope this book also encourages them to form a theatrical club or enroll in acting school.
