Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) made an unexpected discovery about Tom King (James Chase) in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale.
Yesterday, Tom was arrested and questioned regarding Belle Dingle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) allegation of abuse. During the interview, the detective informed him that police officers had been at the King household to retrieve his electronic items.
Tom concocted a story about footage from one hidden camera no longer being accessible on those devices, which wasn’t true.
After the detectives left, Tom confided in his solicitor that he had a tablet containing footage of Belle from other cameras. He mentioned he wasn’t entirely sure of its whereabouts, unaware that his young cousin Carl had taken it to play a game.
In tonight’s episode, Isaac (Bobby Dunsmuir) showed interest in the zombie game and decided to “borrow” the tablet from Carl.
At Butlers, Moira quickly realized that Isaac was holding a stolen item and engaging in a game that was inappropriate for him. She took the device and became curious about some of the files downloaded on it.
As she clicked through the files, Moira discovered pictures of Tom and Belle, followed by video footage of Belle inside Dale Head.
Horrified by her findings, she attempted to call Belle, but the call went unanswered because Belle was with the detective.
Knowing Belle needed to be informed about her discovery but unable to drive herself, Moira asked Isaac to fetch Mack (Lawrence Robb) so he could drive her instead. However, as Isaac left and time passed, Moira grew impatient and took the keys to the Land Rover.
Meanwhile, Belle and Vinny (Bradley Johnson) were reeling from the detective’s update, which indicated that no camera footage had been found on Tom’s devices. When Belle mentioned the tablet, the officers realized that Tom had failed to disclose its existence during his questioning the previous day.
On the road, Moira had pulled up beside a sign and soon realized she was a bit lost. Confused and disoriented, she tried to navigate her way back by walking through a field and into a wooded area.
Meanwhile, Mackenzie and Matty (Ash Palmisciano) were searching the village and Butlers for Moira. Fortunately, Mack discovered her vehicle and soon spotted her in the woods.
Moira had suffered another seizure and had hit her head when she fell, leaving her disoriented and unaware of her surroundings as Mack attempted to comfort her.
John (Oliver Farnworth) examined Moira and advised her to rest after the seizure. Just as he was leaving, Belle arrived on the scene.
While Moira was missing, Belle discovered several voicemails on her phone. In her frantic state, she attempted to reach out to Moira regarding the messages, but Moira couldn’t recall anything about the calls.
Belle, feeling drained and overwhelmed from another harrowing week with Tom, unintentionally pushed Moira too far, causing her to become upset.
As a result, Mack and Matty decided to send Belle away, leaving her feeling disheartened. Meanwhile, what remains unknown to everyone is that Moira holds crucial evidence proving Tom’s abusive and controlling behavior towards Belle.
However, if Moira is unable to remember anything from that day, it raises serious concerns about Belle’s situation and the possibility of bringing Tom to justice.
