Walford is never a dull place to live, but next week, the drama is set to heat up as new residents make enemies with their neighbours.
In forthcoming EastEnders episodes, Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) and his son Harry (Elijah Holloway) will find themselves entangled in a bitter feud with more than one family when youngest son Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) becomes the centre of Ravi Gulati’s attention.
The drama unfolds when Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) is caught texting a mysterious boy by Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury), and she begs her brother to keep quiet.
Meanwhile, their father, Ravi (Aaron Thiara), quickly takes control by seizing Avani’s phone and enlists her mother, Priya (Sophie Khan Levy), to help him access her messages. However, Priya soon reassures Ravi that there’s no cause for concern, as their daughter has already admitted to dating her schoolmate, Barney.
Ravi decides not to intrude on Avani’s privacy and gives her phone back before she rushes off to meet her real love interest, Mason.
But Avani’s romantic rendezvous with older boy Mason is short-lived when she confirms she isn’t going to sleep with him, and he forces her to leave with a busted lip.
As Ravi and Priya enjoy a moment at Walford East, they are abruptly interrupted by an upset Avani. She tries to take cover, but Ravi is certain Barney is to blame and takes matters into his own hands.
When Ravi attempts to confront Barney, tensions escalate into a physical altercation with Teddy. Avani rushes to the scene, desperate to make her father see reason. Outside the café, Teddy and Ravi face off just as the police arrive.
Later, at No. 1, Teddy contacts Harry with a plan to retaliate against Ravi, but their scheme leaves the Panesars in shock. What exactly have the new Mitchells done? And will they end up regretting their choices?
Secret exposed
Harry is also in the bad books of Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) amid Teddy’s threat to the police detective. But will they get away with their latest actions?
Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) and Harry try to blackmail Jack, but the copper soon drops a secret bombshell on his daughter about her love interest.
At The Arches, Jack reluctantly agrees to turn a blind eye to Harry’s dodgy dealings, but what else is Harry hiding? Is Penny in danger?
Tommy’s abuse revealed
Across the Square, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) returns after training for his new job at the Minute Mart, completely unaware that his son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) has once again lashed out at his mother, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace).
However, it doesn’t take long for Alfie to sense that something is off between Kat and Tommy, prompting him to demand an explanation.
When Kat finally confesses that Tommy has injured her, Alfie is left to grapple with his reaction, especially considering the warning he issued the last time this occurred.
Later, at No. 5D, the Moons and Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) gather for a meal, but chaos quickly ensues when an argument between Tommy and Freddie escalates.
Kat continues to make excuses for Tommy’s bad behaviour, but at No. 31, Freddie finds himself under the spotlight as Jean (Gillian Wright) begins to suspect that he’s keeping a secret for Kat.
Will Tommy be punished for his abusive behaviour?
