RUBY Fox-Miligan is set to make a shock discovery as her mum Helen’s will is revealed in Emmerdale.
She previously received a call from one of the nurses at the local hospital as her mum fell ill and was desperate to see her on the ITV soap.
Ruby (Beth Cordingly) confidently strode into the hospital, unaware that the nurse she had spoken to on the phone was about to deliver some difficult news.
She confronted her mother, accusing her of playing “mind games,” believing she had been released.
Meanwhile, Caleb (William Ash) observed from the hallway as Ruby expressed that she was only at the medical center to “watch her die.”
To her dismay, she discovered that her mother had passed away just 20 minutes before her arrival, leaving her in shock as she stood by the body.
However, Caleb is on edge, fearing that his secret will come to light when Helen’s will is read.
Ruby will be horrified by one of the documents, as Caleb believes his cover will be blown.
The will reveals that, prior to her death, Helen had been secretly in contact with Ruby’s daughter, Steph.
This shocking revelation will turn Ruby’s world upside down, leaving her feeling isolated and vulnerable.
She will go back to Chas (Lucy Pargeter) as she tells her pal how grateful she is to Caleb for giving her a vital link with the Dingle family.
Whilst her clan were estranged, the Dingle’s are known to be closely-knit, which gives her much comfort.
Meanwhile, Caleb is momentarily relieved after he makes it through the will reading unscathed.
But will his wife stay in the dark forever?
This comes after Ruby received an unexpected delivery of her mother’s ashes.
She later made her way to the Woolpack to drown her sorrows where Chas was on hand.
Chas advised Ruby to return to the hospital to learn about Helen’s last words as a way to find closure.
It was revealed that Helen had been asking for Ruby on her deathbed, even hoping for a final reconciliation.
Additionally, Ruby uncovered Caleb’s secret visit to the hospital ward to see Helen before her passing, which sparked a heated confrontation between them.
