Caleb’s (William Ash) marriage to Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) is facing turmoil in Emmerdale after she uncovered his deception.
The couple has been on the brink of collapse several times, so it wouldn’t be surprising if they quickly became best friends again.
As viewers have witnessed, Ruby has been emotionally torn since the passing of her estranged mother, unaware that Helen attempted to reconnect in her final days.
Helen had expelled her from the family years ago due to her disapproval of Ruby’s relationship with Caleb, leaving her to navigate life alone. Yet, Ruby is filled with regret for not having the chance to reconcile or at least find some closure.
We recently witnessed Caleb successfully reach out to Helen, promising her that he would connect her with his wife if she agreed to pay £100,000.
The money was transferred, but Helen died before Caleb could inform Ruby about the situation, and he chose to remain silent.
In tonight’s episode, Ruby received a shocking delivery—her mother’s ashes. She was utterly stunned and made an impulsive choice to throw them away.
That’s classic Ruby.
Later, as she went to the pub to drown her sorrows, she saw Chas (Lucy Pargeter) grieving the loss of Zak and began to consider whether she should take action to find out more about Helen’s final days.
Chas urged her to go to the hospital, where Ruby approached a nurse who had cared for her mother.
She described Caleb’s visit, recognizing him by his appearance and recalling his name only vaguely.
Ruby was infuriated that her husband had betrayed her in such a manner and hurried home to confront him. Clenching her teeth, she attempted to determine if Caleb would confess to the deception on his own.
However, that wasn’t the situation. She had to come clean about what she had discovered, and he attempted to wriggle out of it by claiming he was doing it to protect her.
There is some validity to his claim, but he still hasn’t admitted to the money!
Furious, Ruby ordered Caleb to leave, declaring that this was the last straw – she was finished with him.
