In tonight’s episode of EastEnders, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) and Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) noticed that Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) was missing from school and were puzzled by his absence.

The storyline focuses on the troubling dynamics of child-parent abuse, as Kat (Jessie Wallace) struggles to manage her son’s escalating anger. Despite her attempts to regain control, Tommy’s frustrations have led him to lash out violently, leaving Kat worried about the consequences of his behavior being revealed.

As a result, she feels compelled to keep their situation a secret, fearing for Tommy and the twins’ well-being.

In tonight’s episode, Jean and Harvey grew curious when they realised Tommy wasn’t in school. The teenager pretended his teacher was sick, but Jean and Harvey wondered if he was actually telling the truth when a number of school pupils walked by.

A short time later, Jean and Harvey saw Tommy at the market, where he was laughing and filming a resident who had fallen. Concerned, Jean reached out to Kat, who claimed that Tommy was out because she was home with Coronavirus. However, the reality in the flat was quite different. Kat was staring at her reflection, grappling with the sight of a large bruise on her eye, a result of Tommy’s violent outburst.

Next week in the soap, Alfie (Shane Richie) returns home early from Birmingham, catching Kat off guard as she desperately tries to conceal her injury.

Fortunately for Kat, Alfie notices the bruise and asks her about it. She quickly lies, claiming it was the result of a wild night out with Stacey (Lacey Turner).

However, this lie doesn’t hold up for long. While talking to Stacey at the pub, Alfie figures out that Kat isn’t being completely truthful. Just as he heads back to the flat, Kat is inside confronting Tommy for using her credit card without her permission.

As they argue, Alfie listens in and proceeds to demand answers. The next day, after being questioned by Alfie, Kat finally admits that Tommy injured her.

That evening, the Moons and Freddie (Bobby Brazier) gather for a meal in the flat, but it quickly spirals into chaos when an argument breaks out between Tommy and Freddie. The situation escalates, creating a tense atmosphere.

The following morning, Kat and Alfie are left reeling from the previous night’s turmoil. Despite the chaos, Kat insists on making excuses for Tommy’s behavior, downplaying the seriousness of his actions.
