Zak Dingle’s funeral in Emmerdale was a significant event, honoring the legacy of one of the show’s most iconic characters and paying tribute to the beloved actor, Steve Halliwell, who portrayed him.

However, the service took a dramatic turn when Tina Dingle (Samantha Power) – half-sister to Cain (Jeff Hordley), Sam (James Hooton), and Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) – made a surprise appearance at the graveside, stirring up fresh trouble for the Dingle family.

Tina, originally portrayed by Jacqueline Pirie, departed the Dales in 1996 after turning down Frank Tate’s (Norman Bowler) marriage proposal and resigning from her job.

One of her most memorable storylines involved being abducted by her ex-fiancé, Luke McAllister (Noah Huntley). Tina managed to escape, but Luke tragically died in a car crash during the ordeal.

It’s been many years since Tina last set foot in the Dales, but her arrival at Zak’s funeral made it clear she had no intention of merely paying her respects and slipping away quietly.

In fact, she asserted her claim to the Dingle homestead, insisting she had a right to it.

Sam and the other Dingles quickly dismissed her assertions, and Sam hoped she had left for good. However, in upcoming episodes, Tina returns—and she’s not playing fair as she intensifies her demands.

She shows up at the salon and tells Mandy (Lisa Riley) that she needs her assistance with her claim to Wishing Well, threatening to expose Vinny’s (Bradley Johnson) true parentage if she doesn’t comply.

It’s revealed that Vinny’s father is Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale), Mandy’s former boyfriend, who was a compulsive gambler and abusive toward Vinny.

As for Vinny’s mother, the person he considers to be his mum is Mandy and she thinks of him as her son and has raised him for most of his life.

Regardless of what information Tina believes she has regarding Vinny’s parentage, it’s something Mandy wants to keep under wraps, as she fears it could jeopardize her relationship with him.

However, Mandy is also aware of the significance Wishing Well has for the entire Dingle family.

The question remains: Will she agree to assist Tina in taking it from them in exchange for her silence?
