Jacob Roberts, who portrays Christopher ‘Kit’ Green on Coronation Street, parted ways with Amy Harris earlier this year after being together for five years.

Coronation Street’s Jacob Roberts, known for his portrayal of Christopher “Kit” Green, has reportedly ended his relationship with PR executive Amy Harris after five years together. The 33-year-old actor raised eyebrows in June when he removed all photos of Amy from his Instagram, a move mirrored by Amy, sparking rumors of their breakup.

The couple were once frequent attendees at glamorous events and shared intimate dinners, though the reason behind their split remains unclear, according to OK!.

*This separation comes after Jacob’s role as Damon Kinsella on *Hollyoaks* ended in 2023, following a show revamp.

Now in Coronation Street, Roberts has been involved in gripping storylines, including the disappearance of Lauren Bolton and the mystery surrounding Joel’s murder.*

Fans have begun speculating that Kit might be more deeply involved in Joel’s death than initially believed. In particular, interactions between Kit and DS Swain (played by Vicky Myers) have sparked theories of a possible cover-up. One fan online suggested: “It seems like Kit and Swain are ensuring their story is foolproof, covering up any evidence.” Theories like these have ignited widespread discussions, reports the Mirror.

Another fan further stoked the speculation, saying: “I rewatched the scenes, and when Swain mentioned, ‘Betsy’s involvement changed everything,’ it was clear—she definitely killed him, or maybe it was an accident.”

Jacob, one of the newest cast members, expressed his excitement about joining Coronation Street, sharing: “It’s absolutely amazing… Walking onto the set for the first time was a bit overwhelming. The level of detail is incredible—it genuinely feels like you’re standing on a real street.”

He added: “My mum and dad are absolutely thrilled, which is really lovely. My mum’s been a lifelong Coronation Street fan, and I’ve always followed it too, so being part of it feels surreal. Meeting the cast and crew has been fantastic—I genuinely feel at home here.”

Opening up about his role, Jacob shared: “I can’t wait for everyone to meet Kit, though I think people will misjudge him at first. He’s been deeply hurt throughout his life, and while he has a good heart, he also harbors some serious resentment towards his biological mum, Bernie. Exploring that dynamic is going to be really interesting.”
