EastEnders‘ newest young star has made a splash in Albert Square with his role as Barney Mitchell, but his talents go well beyond acting.
Lewis Bridgeman’s mother, Jayne, has proudly disclosed that he is a certified genius.
At just 12 years old, Lewis successfully passed the challenging Mensa intelligence test.
This achievement confirmed that his IQ is in the top 2 percent globally.
Mensa is a prestigious high IQ society that only admits individuals who score a minimum of 132 on their intelligence tests.
Lewis not only met this requirement but did so while facing challenges such as anxiety, autism, and dyspraxia.
Despite his remarkable intellect, Jayne has revealed that Lewis faces difficulties with social interactions, especially when it comes to making friends.
However, she commended his school for their consistent support, saying, “He’s made significant progress.”
On screen, Lewis’s character has swiftly become entangled in the drama of EastEnders.
Barney is introduced to Walford as Teddy Mitchell’s son.
He recently found himself in serious trouble when Ravi Gulati mistakenly believed that he was Avani’s older boyfriend.
In reality, Avani is actually dating Mason, who was unaware that he was involved with a minor.
One day, Avani returned home with a split lip after her boyfriend pressured her into having sex, leading to a heated argument between them.
Furious after the incident, Ravi vowed to get revenge on Barney, unaware that Barney is merely Avani’s friend and that she has been keeping her boyfriend’s identity hidden.
Barney found himself running for safety as Ravi chased him through a public market, a situation that could have dire consequences for the Gulati family when Teddy learns about it and decides to intervene.
