Next week on EastEnders, The Six enter damage control mode as Nish grows increasingly suspicious, while Jean regrets reaching out to social services about Tommy. Additionally, the market is at risk of demolition.
Here’s what to expect in Walford from Monday, October 28th, to Thursday, October 31st.
1) Nish grows suspicious of The 6
Last week, Nish (Navin Chowdhry) continued to disrupt Suki’s (Balvinder Sopal) life by orchestrating the mugging of Eve’s (Heather Peace) mother from afar. This incident ultimately prompted Eve to leave Walford and head to Scotland to be with her parents.
Suki intended to accompany Eve but decided to stay in Albert Square when Nish arranged for their three-year-old grandson Tye to arrive.
Next week, unexpected developments unfold as Nish overhears a secret conversation between his ex-wife and Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), leading him to become increasingly suspicious of The Six.
As the group meet at No. 41 to try to remember their statements from Christmas and ensure that they’re still on the same page, he rumbles their secretive meeting.
He’s adamant that something is awry, but the women all insist that they have nothing to hide.
However, Nish insists on accompanying them to the police station, where DCI Arthurs conducts re-interviews with both him and The Six regarding their actions surrounding the fateful date of Keanu’s (Danny Walters) death.
Nish later heads back to No. 41, still convinced that Suki is hiding something, and Suki reels as he confronts her about her truth…
Is Nish about to discover all?
2) Jean regrets talking to social services
This week’s episodes featured Alfie (Shane Richie) discovering that Tommy (Sonny Kendall) had punched Kat (Jessie Wallace) while he was away on a training course. However, both Alfie and Kat thought they had finally managed to reach the young boy after having a serious conversation with him.
However, a dramatic night unfolded when Tommy lashed out at Bert and Ernie, ultimately injuring Freddie (Bobby Brazier) by pouring hot soup on him.
On Wednesday, Freddie informed Jean (Gillian Wright) that the incident was intentional. Meanwhile, Tommy threatened to call social services on his parents, asserting that they were the ones who had hurt him.
When Jean went to speak with Tommy herself, she found him hurting the twins. Despite the clear evidence, Kat continued to defend her son. Feeling the need to intervene, Jean ended up calling social services herself.
As the drama unfolds next week, Jean is overwhelmed with guilt over her decision to contact the authorities. An ill-timed comment from Kathy prompts her to leave the café and return to No. 31. Stacey manages to persuade Jean to keep quiet about her choice to involve social services, but her doubts resurface when she witnesses a tense conversation between Alfie, Kat, and Bianca (Patsy Palmer) in the Square.
Alfie reassures Jean that she did the right thing, but the pressure becomes too much for her when Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) tries to pry for more gossip at The Vic, leading to an outburst from Jean that accidentally offends Kojo (Dayo Koleosho).
Harvey later tries to make things up to Jean after getting some advice for Kathy, but she instead heads back to The Vic to have dinner with Kojo as an apology, prompting Harvey to head over to see Kathy.
3) Will the market be demolished?
A major new storyline kicks off next week when Honey (Emma Barton) and Billy (Perry Fenwick) inform a shocked Martin (James Bye) that their beloved market is in danger of redevelopment. Later in the week, the trio gathers the market holders at the pub for a crisis meeting, where they reveal the council’s plans and discuss the potential abolition of the market and the Square Gardens.
However, the meeting soon escalates into chaos when the punters learn that Junior (Micah Balfour) has been given the prospective contract for the works!
4) Avani struggles
This week’s episodes featured Avani’s dad, Ravi, mistakenly believing that Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) was responsible for her recent injuries, which were actually inflicted by older teen Mason (Alex Draper).
Determined to seek revenge on Barney, Ravi took him to the viaduct and dangled him over the edge by his feet!
In the upcoming week, Avani puts on a brave face following last week’s events, but it’s evident that she is still struggling internally.
5) The Six go into damage control
On Tuesday, Nish orders Suki to invite the rest of The Six to No. 41, and tensions rise as the women realize their dark secret is no longer safe.
Determined to take control of the situation, Suki sends the others home and attempts to reason with her ex-husband, but it quickly becomes clear that Nish isn’t easily swayed. What will Suki have to do to ensure his silence?
On Wednesday, Suki declines a call from Stacey as she braces for the worst—Nish has decided to move back into No. 41 following their conversation. What are his plans?
6) Harvey sneaks around
Stacey tells Harvey to go easy on Jean after her recent decision, and as the troubled couple later reconcile at No. 31, Jean makes a gesture.
The pair are then interrupted by Kojo, who presents Jean with a bouquet of flowers. This distraction gives Harvey the chance to make his excuses and visit Kathy at No. 45 once again. What are Harvey and Kathy up to?
7) Kat and Alfie make up
On Wednesday, the tension between Kat and Alfie escalates as they encounter each other at the Minute Mart, remaining at odds over Tommy.
However, the atmosphere shifts when Alfie offers comfort to Kat, leading them to head to The Vic together later on.
8) Halloween arrives
As Halloween descends on Albert Square, the residents embrace the festive spirit, donning their fancy dress outfits to celebrate the occasion at The Vic. In the midst of the celebrations, Elaine asks Kojo to wear George’s costume, and he happily agrees.
