Coronation Street gears up for another suspenseful week, with dramatic developments in the investigation of Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) murder. The ITV soap has been packed with twists lately, and next week promises even more surprises, including a crucial discovery by Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin).
Betsy catches her mum Lisa (Vicky Myers) examining a bruise on her back. Although Lisa claims it happened at the gym, Betsy suspects there’s more to the story. Meanwhile, Lisa opens up to Carla Connor (Alison King) about her struggles with Betsy. Carla offers encouragement, admiring Lisa’s ability to balance her job and parenting, but their conversation soon takes an unexpected turn.
Elsewhere, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) faces a shocking moment, while Mason Ratcliffe (Luca Toolan) steps in to help Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall).
In one scene, Bethany pours a drink for herself and Daniel at the flat but accidentally spills one over her top. Daniel walks in just as she’s changing, and for the first time, he sees her stoma bag. Startled, Bethany yells at him to leave, but as the door closes, she feels guilty for her reaction.
