Mason Radcliffe’s (Luca Toolan) quest for redemption takes a shocking turn in next week’s episodes of Coronation Street when a resident discovers he’s not only homeless but also living in their garden shed.
After serving time in prison earlier this year for threatening Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) with a knife during a bullying storyline, Mason returned to find support from Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) and Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King). The couple even offered him a job as a kitchen porter at Speed Daal, although he faced negative comments from neighbors.
However, Mason’s situation worsened when Stu left Weatherfield for Germany. Now without a mentor or a place to stay, Mason is struggling to get back on his feet.
In the upcoming week, Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) become suspicious when they find spilled food in the kitchen, leading them to believe they have mice. When they investigate the shed, they discover a bag and realize that someone has been living there.
Tim brings the bag to Street Cars, but he doesn’t notice Mason watching from across the road. Later, Mason is caught red-handed while trying to retrieve his rucksack and reluctantly admits to Tim that he’s homeless.
As the week progresses, Tim attempts to find Mason a place to stay but is unsuccessful. Eventually, he offers Mason a place to sleep on his sofa, emphasizing that Sally must never find out. It’s a risky move, but could Tim prove to be a crucial support for Mason?
