As a well-known character made a “appearance” on the BBC soap opera this week after leaving 17 years prior, EastEnders fans jumped on the rumours.
Although Kacey Ainsworth’s Little Mo Slater left EastEnders in 2006, she spoke about a scene from this week amid rumours that she may return.
Long-time viewers of EastEnders may recall that Little Mo, one of the Slater sisters, hasn’t been spotted around Albert Square in 17 years.
Numerous relatives of Little Mo’s family still live in Walford, despite the fact that she over two decades ago left, and her son Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) visited last year.
The 18-year-old returned to Walford wanting to learn more about his father despite the fact that he was only a baby when he and his mother fled the Square.
Even though everyone in Walford has been keeping quiet about the truth, Freddie has been doing all in his ability to find his birth father this week.
Little Mo was actually raped in 2003 by Graham Foster, who is played by Alex McSweeney, but Freddie is unaware of this reality.
He was inclined to bring up the topic with his mother and even called her to confront her on Tuesday’s BBC soap opera, but he quickly changed his mind.
He said on the call, “I’m just missing you, that’s all.
He continued, “You sound happy, mum,” and was going to inquire about his father when he said, “I love you.”
Fans went into a frenzy on social media after receiving the call from the iconic figure, speculating that Little Mo might be making a comeback.
When actress Kacey commented on the scene on social media, fans were even happier.
She tweeted, “Apparently I’ve been on the blower….”
Fans quickly flooded the page with comments pleading with her to play Little Mo again.
“Please come back even just for a few eps, you’re one of the characters people have genuinely missed,” wrote Twitter user @MrH1987. “I wonder how lol Mo would get along with Honey.”(sic)
Added @BbukSave: “Would love to see you back, even just for one episode!”
@BlueMoonDevon argued: “Freddie needs you back and so do we!!” while @Paulwheeler19 stated: “Waiting for that return.”
Absolutely, please return, said @Lolajaechaps.
Miss Kacey, Freddie wants his mama, said @LouiseNcW81. Please let me know when you’re returning to the square. (sic)
