Following the awful, untimely passing of Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) in Emmerdale, Coronation Street star Sair Khan opened up about her feelings and revealed that, like many of us, she is not doing well.
Fans were completely shocked to learn of Rishi’s passing and immediately turned to social media to express their grief.
Viewers spotted Rishi lying dead at the foot of his staircase as Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) celebrated their marriage.
Tragically, he passed away during a heated dispute with Jai, who had recently discovered that Rishi was his brother and was therefore his biological father.
We were all devastated to learn that Jai will never get the chance to mend fences with his father despite the fact that he made it obvious throughout the episode that he wanted to do so.
Sair Khan, who plays Alya Nazir in the television series Corrie, was deeply saddened by the shocking loss and shared her sorrow on her Instagram stories.
I’m not okay guys, she stated after reposting an Emmerdale video, followed by a string of crying and broken heart emojis.
Highlights from the touching episode were included in Emmerdale’s video, along with a few comments from actor Bhasker Patel on what he will miss most about the show.
He said, “Being in this village is the thing I’ll miss the most for Rishi.”
He arrived here a long time ago, and both the community and they welcomed him with open arms.
Since Rishi has spent the last 12 years living in the Emmerdale village, it will be difficult to adjust to his absence.
Both cast members and fans will miss him dearly.
