Fans of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street are concerned about Ryan Connor after learning that he has been paid to send explicit photos to an online follower.

On Monday night’s episode of Coronation Street, viewers watched in horror as Ryan Connor (played by Ryan Prescott) was persuaded to upload X-rated images online in exchange for money.

The DJ is still recovering from the acid attack that left him permanently scarred, and he has been residing with his aunt Carla Barlow (Alison King) and her husband Peter (Chris Gasgoine).

Ryan made a commitment to ask for more shifts at the cafe after Peter admitted that they could use some rent from him.

The online fan of his fitness content going by the name of Liv requested him to “drop his kecks and send a pic,” offering to compensate him for it, but he received a more enticing offer in his direct messages.

Many viewers thought Liv is actually Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), and they were not delighted when Ryan appeared to give in to the lure of easy money as he unbuttoned his pants.

Ryan, who believed he was speaking to Crystal but was actually talking to Daisy, tweeted: “So Ryan is going to fall for another random online? #corrie.” (sic)

“Just been catfished and now he’s dropping his kecks 5 minutes later,” @Jadeawx noted. Ryan isn’t that tech savvy, huh? (sic)

It was simply stated by a user going by the name @pantskate: “I bet it’s Daisy messaging Ryan #Corrie.”

@Beardybill1 concurred, saying, “So who is catfishing Ryan for d**k pictures? Daisy, I believe, is #Corrie. (sic)

A different opinion was offered elsewhere by @andrewmcb, who wrote: “On a scale of 1–10, how likely is it that Ryan is speaking to a man? The response is 11. #Corrie, ha.

Some viewers believed the material was inappropriate for the long-running soap opera, though.

@LaLaBeepBeep begged: “Corrie please, I don’t wanna have to explain only fans to my 64-year-old mother.”

Sadly, it doesn’t seem like Ryan will realize how careless he is acting any time soon because ITV has already revealed teasers for Wednesday’s episode, which reveal that Ryan will create an O-Vidz account and begin selling explicit content.

Ryan Prescott, who plays the problematic character, said, “He is very quickly swallowed up by it and as the money starts coming in he is hooked.”
