Thomas Law, who plays her son Peter Beale on EastEnders, has been praising Cindy Beale in the days leading up to her return to Albert Square.

Actor Thomas Law, who recently took on the role of Peter Beale in Eastenders again, paid respect to his on-screen mother Michelle Collins, who plays Cindy Beale, telling Ranvir Singh that she “raised my game”.

When the 30-year-old was questioned about his comeback to the soap opera 13 years after leaving it, he appeared on Lorraine, which Ranvir was guest presenting.

Because I hadn’t previously collaborated with Michelle, he said, “Michelle has been an absolute treat.”

“I first met her when we began filming, and she was just fantastic. She challenged me more. He admitted, “She added a remarkable energy to the character.

He noted, “She’s obviously got an amazing history with the role.”

He also gave Adam Woodyatt, who portrays his on-screen father Ian Beale, high respect.

He hinted, “Adam’s like a father figure. He either makes fun of me or gives me self-assurance. He’s beautiful.

Thomas departed his position as detective Eddie Martin in the ITV crime drama The Bay after three years to join the BBC serial opera.

Fans were stunned to see him return to the show as part of a shocking twist that revealed that, contrary to popular belief, his mother Cindy had actually been in the witness protection program for 25 years before to her death in jail.

She was also revealed to be the ex-wife of the new Queen Vic proprietor George Knight (Colin Salmon) and the mother of his two children Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford), which came as a shocking revelation.

Her kids, Peter’s half-sisters, are about to get a surprise when she arrives in Albert Square on Thursday. They think their mother abandoned the family years ago.

When it was announced that he would be resuming his role, Thomas fessed up: “Over the years, I had longed for a return to the Square although I never imagined it would happen.

So it’s a true pleasure to return to Walford as Peter Beale.

Seeing both old and new faces has been wonderful, and now that Cindy has returned, it will be fun to explore the character once more.
