An iconic EastEnders couple could be facing a devastating split in upcoming scenes, and it is all thanks to a steamy affair.
Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) recently accepted a proposal from Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) while her exes and the man she’s been having an affair with all watched. Talk about iconic.
As a result of her engagement, Cindy called off her affair with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) – something that he hasn’t taken well.
In tonight’s episode, Junior headed to Beale’s Eels to talk to Cindy, but when she continued to insist that their relationship was over, he took a different tactic.
When Cindy hurried into the pub, running late for her date with Ian, she was stunned to see him deep in conversation with Junior.
Things took a turn for the worse when it became clear that Junior had been spilling the details of his new romance to Ian.
Ian then shared the shocking news that the woman Junior had been involved with was already in a relationship and had ditched Junior, making it seem like he was the one at fault.
Cindy quickly jumped in, insisting that the other woman must have her own side of the story. While relieved that Ian hadn’t caught on, she was frustrated that Junior had mentioned it at all.
As Ian turned to order Cindy a drink, Junior casually assured him that he’d share the rest of the story another time.
Could he be set to reveal the full extent of his affair with Cindy and ruin their relationship before they’ve tied the knot?
Junior’s loose tongue isn’t the only danger to their secret. In tonight’s episode, Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) revealed that his bird recorder had accidentally captured hours of audio after being left near the window of Beale’s Eels.
This raises the possibility that it may have recorded Cindy’s conversation with David Wicks (Michael French), where she confessed to the affair, leaving him stunned.
Is it only a matter of time before Cindy and Junior’s affair is exposed?
