Charley Webb has expressed her displeasure with several fan interactions.
The 35-year-old actress, who rose to popularity as a child actor on the soap opera Emmerdale, talked about how she frequently finds strangers taking pictures of her without her consent.
Everyone basically takes pictures of you everywhere you go. Nowadays, no one even asks. I mean, obviously, some people do,” she stated during her appearance on Loose Women.
Imagine being jailed if I simply decided to take a photo of someone while walking down the street, she added.
Soon, Charley will play the lead role in a theater performance of Quiz, a play on Charles Ingram, who was charged with using coughs to cheat on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
Despite having had a very successful acting career, Charley is unsure if she could have entered the field today due to social media.
“The story would have been completely different,” I doubt that I could have succeeded. She said, “The world is so different.
She worries about the impact trolling has on other people, despite the fact that she now has a “thick skin.”
She remarked, “I worry for kids, I worry for everyone.”
After twenty years of portraying Debbie Dingle in the serial opera Emmerdale, Charley, who is married to her former co-star Matthew Wolfenden, left the show in 2021.
She will play a police officer in the ITV series The Long Shadow in addition to Quiz. The pursuit of serial killer Peter Sutcliffe will be the subject of the television series.
She attributes her success in landing these fascinating new opportunities to manifestation.
