Coronation Street fans believe they’ve figured out corrupt officer Kit Green’s next scheme after noticing something suspicious in the most recent episode of the ITV soap.
Coronation Street has teased a troubling new storyline for Kit Green, portrayed by Jacob Roberts, that could lead to trouble for Billy Mayhew.
Kit, the crooked police officer introduced this year as Bernie’s (Jane Hazlegrove) estranged son, has been stirring up drama.
Bernie, a beloved character in the soap, gave up Christopher “Kit” Green for adoption nearly thirty years ago and recently reconnected with him. This revelation shocked Bernie’s twins, Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash), as they discovered they had another sibling.
Kit has also been pivotal in ensuring the imprisonment of Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper), a despicable character, by planting Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) DNA in Nathan’s van, framing him for her murder.
Since his arrival, Kit has become a familiar presence on the cobbles, creating significant drama. He not only forced the iconic Beth Tinker (Lisa George) to leave the street but also contributed to the breakup between Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) and Daisy (Charlotte Jordan).
However, viewers have begun speculating about Kit’s next move. In recent episodes, the funeral of his brother Paul took place following his battle with motor neurone disease, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
Before the funeral, Kit met with his colleague DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), who informed him that his fellow officers had gathered some money for him to donate to an MND charity. Kit was thrilled to receive the envelope filled with cash, which he quickly tucked into his jacket.
However, sharp-eyed Coronation Street viewers noticed that the envelope appeared to vanish during the recent episode, raising suspicions about Kit’s intentions.
Fans have been actively sharing conspiracy theories online, convinced that something suspicious occurred.
One viewer raised doubts on a ‘Corrie’ Facebook fan page, stating, “Kit never passed the money.” Another responded, sharing their unease: “I thought this, and it’s still going round my head!”
A concerned fan declared, “He is a con man,” while another echoed this sentiment, stating, “He was never going to. He’s a bent cop.”
Additionally, someone else contributed to the growing suspicion, remarking, “Don’t trust him; there’s something dodgy about him.”
