In Monday’s (October 14) episode, Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) broke the tragic news of Joel’s body being found to DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).
Kit later revealed that the post-mortem confirmed Joel died from two head injuries, despite his body being discovered in a river.
The police have launched a murder investigation, with several suspects in the frame.
Joel’s (Calum Lill) sudden death follows the exposure of his abusive and terrifying behaviour toward Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
