In Coronation Street, Max Turner and Lauren Bolton have chosen to rekindle their young romance, despite Max’s prior relationship with Sabrina.
While this development seems promising, fans are left puzzled as Max seems to have overlooked his girlfriend, who never received proper closure.
So, what happened to Sabrina Adetiba?
Coronation Street: Max and Sabrina’s relationship
Sabrina first appeared on the cobbles in June 2023 as the sister of Gav Adetiba, who was in a youth offenders’ facility alongside Max.
Initially, there was some tension between them, but they quickly became friends. While Gav was away, a homeless Sabrina was squatting in his vacant flat.
In 2023, Max knocked on the door, and Sabrina pretended to be Gav’s girlfriend, Bec, to prevent Max from alerting Gav to her presence.
Sabrina and Max soon hit it off and went on several dates, sharing flirty banter that made Max feel guilty about being involved with his friend’s sister.
Max had recently come out of a relationship with his estranged ex-girlfriend, Lauren Bolton, who is the daughter of Reece—a key figure in the extremist group that Max was previously involved with, leading to his custody sentence.
Fortunately, Gav was fine with the relationship since it was his sister, allowing Max and Sabrina to develop their romance. They even became good friends with Lauren and later with Bobby.

However, Sabrina gradually faded from the soap after her breakup with Max. She felt increasingly jealous as Max struggled to choose between her and Lauren, especially after the revelation of Lauren’s grooming trauma.
In last night’s episode (Wednesday, October 23), Lauren confessed that she wanted to give things another shot with Max, encouraged by Bobby.
The pair clearly had feelings for each other after Lauren rejected Bobby, but they were reluctant to admit it due to the significant stress both Lauren and baby Frankie were facing.
Fans were left puzzled about Sabrina’s whereabouts, as her breakup with Max wasn’t clearly addressed, and it seems she has left the cobbles entirely.
Sabrina even had a confrontation with her abuser, Joel Deering, but fortunately managed to escape his manipulative charms.

One Facebook fan questioned, “When did he break up with Sabrina?” Another responded, “I think Sabrina left him when Lauren went missing.”
A third viewer asked, “But where is Sabrina? They don’t just disappear…” while a fourth noted, “I was thinking the same thing, but teenagers do jump from one relationship to another.”
Another viewer expressed, “I didn’t see the episode where Max split from Sabrina, but hopefully it works out for Max and Lauren. They’re cute together, and she’s been through a lot.”
It appears that Max has indeed broken up with Sabrina, as actress Luana Santos confirmed she has completed filming her final scenes on the soap. This suggests we may have already seen the last of her character.
