Lauren Bolton makes a heartfelt confession as the police uncover critical new evidence in the investigation into Joel’s murder on Coronation Street.

As the search for Joel’s killer progresses, Lauren Bolton (played by Cait Fitton) opens up to her new boyfriend, Max Turner (Paddy Bever), in next week’s episode of the ITV soap. While at the hospital, Lauren cradles Frankie and admits to Max her constant fear that social services might one day take him away. Max reassures her, promising they’ll be okay as long as they stick together.

Meanwhile, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) wrestles with her conscience and decides to come clean. She heads to the police station and confesses to Officer Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) that she was the one who made the anonymous call after hitting Joel with a crowbar. Dee-Dee claims she acted in self-defense and insists Joel Deering (Calum Lill) was still alive when she left, but Kit is soon confronted with yet another shocking piece of evidence.

Will Dee-Dee face arrest, or could someone else be implicated?

In another twist, Lisa Swain (Victoria Myers) informs Carla Connor (Alison King) that her CS spray somehow ended up near the murder weapon. She believes she’s being framed, potentially by Joel’s actual killer. Determined to clear her name, Lisa retraces her steps, hoping to uncover who might have taken her spray.

Will her investigation lead to the real murderer, or is Lisa hiding something herself?

Friday’s episode will reveal a series of flashbacks from the night of Joel’s death, intertwined with Kit’s police interviews. Finally, Coronation Street fans will get a clear view of what happened and discover who dealt the fatal blow.
