Coronation Street star makes a ‘comeback from beyond’ for milestone moment

Peter Ash took to social media took to social media with excitement to celebrate a major milestone following his exit in September.

Peter Ash made a surprise appearance on Coronation Street, bringing his late character, Paul Foreman, back to life in a heartfelt scene with his on-screen partner, Billy Mayhew (played by Daniel Brocklebank).

Paul, who passed away 18 months after his motor neurone disease diagnosis, reappeared in a vision experienced by a grieving Billy, offering him comfort in his time of need.

In the ITV episode, Billy had retreated behind the factory, listening to old voice messages from Paul until his phone died.

As he began to drift off, he suddenly heard Paul’s voice calling his name—and when he looked up, Paul was there, standing in front of him.

After the episode aired, the actor shared a heartwarming behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram with his co-stars Jane Hazlegrove and Daniel Brocklebank.

He wrote: “It was such a joy to return to the cobbles of Coronation Street one LAST time!”

Celebrating this milestone, Ash added: “That brings my total Corrie episodes to a tidy 600! It’s truly been the time of my life!”

Among the many fans commenting, his on-screen mother, Jane, shared her affection with a sweet message: “Ah sweet, sweet Apollo!”

“And Peter’s pretty bloody gorgeous too!!! Ain’t the same without you darling! Love Mama!, the actress added.”

An emotional @glasgowgrrrl shared: “A truly beautiful episode, cried all the way through, Paul will be missed.”

As @jordsdanx remarked: “What a way to end the storyline. you’ve all been phenomenal.”

While @donnydondons68 echoed: “It was a great way to end the storyline and what a surprise!”
