Coronation Street actress Georgia Taylor and The Chase and Gladiators host Bradley Walsh shared the screen on police procedural series Law And Order: UK a decade ago

Coronation Street favourite Georgia Taylor once shared the screen with Bradley Walsh and admitted he was a “b****r” when it came to making his co-stars laugh during filming.

The actress – who is best known for playing Toyah Battersby on the cobbles – co-starred with The Chase host in Law And Order: UK 10 years ago. Georgia played junior crown prosecutor Kate Barker, while Bradley was detective sergeant Ronnie Brooks.

And she once revealed that Bradley used to make her get the giggles when they were meant to be looking serious and shooting their scenes. Opening up to Digital Spy a few years back, Georgia teased that Bradley was “terrible” for it.

She said: “He’s a b****r – he’s an absolute b****r and I’ll tell you why! He’s one of those people that can be cracking gags, making everybody laugh, and the second they say ‘Action!’ he’s completely straight-faced.

“I can’t do that, I don’t have those skills! I get the giggles – which I was notorious for on Casualty – and Bradley likes to get you giggling, because then he can just turn it off.

“I’ll be there, stomach-clenching, the muscles in my face twitching, trying so hard not to laugh… he’s terrible for that and he very much enjoys doing that!”

Bradley was on Law And Order: UK from 2009 to 2014, where viewers loved him as DS Brooks, who was part of London’s Major Incident Unit and determined to see justice done. Georgia was cast in the police procedural series in 2013, not long after a lengthy stint as Ruth Winters in Casualty. She starred as Kate until 2014.

In 2016 Georgia returned to Coronation Street as Toyah, having previously played the character in the ITV soap from 1997 to 2003. Bradley has also continued to rack up acting roles but in recent years the star has become better known for hosting hit series such as game show The Chase and the reboot of sports entertainment contest Gladiators, which returned to our screens this year.
