Courtney Hope, best known for playing Sally Spectra on the popular CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless, recently discussed her role and the reasons Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) dislikes her so much. Evidently, Victor himself is to blame rather than Sally. For all the information you require, continue reading below.
Courtney Hope explains why Victor despises Sally so much in The Young and the Restless spoilers
In a recent interview with Soaps.com, the stunning actress claimed that it appears as though Sally gets on Victor Newman’s nerves for all the wrong reasons. He doesn’t appear to be receptive to actually, truly getting to know her or even to occasionally seeing her as a human, as she put it. She resembles this one particular woman who stands between him and the happiness of his son—either one, really.
Additionally, Courtney emphasized that her character does not constantly feel the need to defend herself. After all, she had a really difficult childhood and essentially had to raise herself throughout that time. Sally can hold her ground when he pushes back against her, according to Coutney. She doesn’t suffer from the “good-girl syndrome” or the desire to please her parents like some people do. Instead, she says, “Hey, I’ve made it by myself.” I don’t require your consent!
She also believes that her conflict with Victor Newman is much greater than Sally’s with Bill Spencer from an earlier episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. “She definitely learned her lesson there,” Courtney exclaimed. Actually, I’m glad because Bill is one thing, but I wouldn’t want Victor Newman to be involved in that circumstance! That would be awful!”
