EastEnders viewers are concerned that two characters might be in jeopardy as Tommy Moon’s violent behavior escalated this week.
The teenager was seen attacking his mother, Kat Slater, and his father, Alfie Moon, once again. However, when Freddie Slater also became a target of Tommy’s anger amid an abuse storyline, it was revealed that Tommy’s younger siblings had also suffered bruises.
Jean Slater contacted social services, leading to Kat and Tommy being questioned. As Thursday’s episode unfolded, Tommy continued to lash out at his family.
He expressed to Kat and Alfie that he wished he could be taken away, declaring he no longer wanted to be near them or live with them. Tommy voiced his hatred for his home life, placing the blame for his behavior on his parents.
In distress, Kat frantically searched Walford for a suitable place for Tommy to stay after being informed that they had to be separated. With Tommy’s situation under review, he needed to live away from his mother and siblings. Fortunately, Zack Hudson stepped in to help.
Zack, who became a foster carer late last year with his ex, Whitney Dean, had experience caring for a young boy. The social worker spoke with Zack and informed Kat that they would need to conduct the necessary checks to see if Tommy could stay with him.
With that, Tommy moved into Zack’s flat, and Zack assured Kat that he would take care of her son. Kat was informed that Tommy couldn’t return home until he no longer posed a threat.
However, fans are concerned that Tommy’s behavior may worsen, putting two characters in jeopardy. With Zack’s actor, James Farrar, recently hinting at a major new storyline for his character, some fans speculated that it could be linked to Tommy’s situation.
Is Zack at risk given Tommy’s violent tendencies? Other viewers fear that Alfie could be attacked or even killed by his son, especially with rumors of a fire spreading in Walford.
Many believe the Minute Mart will be set ablaze, as it was recently seen boarded up. Since Alfie has taken on the role of manager there, fans speculate that Tommy might ignite the fire as a way to target him and potentially harm him.
Fans took to social media to share their theories, with one suggesting, “I have a strange feeling that Tommy will set fire to the Minute Mart knowing Alfie works there to get back at him… I could be wrong.” Another fan expressed concern, saying, “I really don’t want anything to happen.”
Regarding Zack, one fan noted, “I think we can all guess that Zack’s big new storyline has something to do with Tommy. Apparently, it’s something different, and even the actor was shocked by it, so I wonder if it involves Tommy.” Another added, “Zack has a major storyline coming up that has to involve Tommy now.”
