Romance is in the air for EastEnders‘ Knight sisters, Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford), though it brings complications for their half-brother, Junior (Micah Balfour).

Junior is still nursing his wounds after Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) ended their secret affair last month, following advice from her ex, David Wicks (Michael French). He had confided in his family about being in love, even admitting this to his dad, George Knight (Colin Salmon), without revealing that his mystery lover was George’s ex-wife.

With George’s wedding to Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) just around the corner, Junior faces pressure from his siblings to bring his elusive partner as his date to the big day.

In this week’s scenes, Junior is disappointed to hear that his son, Xavier, won’t be attending the wedding. Gina, wanting to cheer him up, proposes a challenge: if she can find a date within 24 hours, then Junior must bring his girlfriend to the wedding. When Gina and Anna both manage to line up dates, Gina is quick to remind Junior of their bet, playfully pushing him to bring his secret love along.

However, Junior is forced to confess that he’s already been dumped, enduring Gina’s playful teasing about his romantic missteps.

It’s still unknown who Gina and Anna’s dates will be, but fans are hopeful that Anna might finally take things further with her long-time crush, Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier).

Meanwhile, as wedding preparations continue, Elaine encourages George to ask Junior to be his best man. Nervous about being turned down, George hesitates and asks Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) instead. Realizing what’s really going on, Phil urges George to reach out to his son. Summoning his courage, George eventually asks Junior.

Yet, with Junior still heartbroken over Cindy, will he accept his father’s offer?
