An EastEnders fan has speculated that Bianca Jackson may attempt to take her own life during the soap’s 40th anniversary.
The Walford icon has been pressuring Reiss to confess in order to help her sister Sonia. While she seems to be on the right track, her friends and family are increasingly concerned that she’s slipping into a depressive state.
With her father, David Wicks, having left the show last week, fans believe that her dwindling support system could signal a forthcoming dark storyline.
EastEnders: Bianca’s comeback
Bianca recently returned to the Square determined to prove her sister Sonia’s innocence in the murder of Reiss Colwell’s wife, Debbie.
She has been aggressively confronting Reiss, whom she believes to be the real culprit—and rightly so.
Friends like Martin have been there to support her, not just regarding Sonia but also concerning Bianca’s mental well-being. Kat, Freddie, and others also believe in Sonia’s innocence.
However, Bianca’s erratic behavior, including using Freddie’s microphone to record a drunken Reiss, has raised concerns among those close to her.
At The Vic, Martin urged Bianca to seek professional help for her depression, but she brushed it off, stating that “everybody feels down now and again.”
Kat even noted similarities between Bianca’s intensity and Jean and Stacey’s manic episodes. David left with the understanding that Bianca would visit the GP for help.
While it appears she will continue her campaign against Reiss, fans believe she may overlook her mental health in the process.
EastEnders: Bianca could be leaving the Square
Many viewers have taken to social media to speculate about Bianca’s future, suggesting that her storyline might align with the 40th anniversary episode, set for March.
One user on X expressed concern: “I have a horrible feeling that Bianca’s depression/ADHD storyline is going to escalate until she does something drastic (either around Christmas 2024 or during the February 40th Anniversary episodes).”
They continued, “A major suicide storyline involving one of the show’s most iconic characters from the past would certainly make an impact for the Anniversary episodes. (I really hope I’m wrong!)”
Others have shared their affection for Bianca, expressing hope that she’ll remain on the show. “Bianca and Freddie are making me howl with laughter. Their energy is perfect together,” wrote one fan.
Another commented on Bianca’s determination: “I guess I’ll have to wait weeks. I’m not going anywhere until Sonia’s free, am I?”
A fourth fan added, “One thing Bianca is right about: no one cares about freeing Sonia.”
