EastEnders fans were stunned during the latest episode when Nish Panesar, who had been on the verge of death just a few episodes prior, appeared surprisingly healthy.
In Tuesday evening’s gripping segment of the beloved BBC soap, viewers witnessed a revitalized Nish returning to his intimidating behavior. He began to terrorize his wife, Suki, demanding that she reveal who had knocked him unconscious last Christmas.
Under pressure from his threats, a distressed Suki eventually disclosed that Denise Fox was the one responsible. Nish reacted to her confession with irony, saying, “I’m sorry. I mean, it’s a bit ironic, isn’t it? My whole life, you’ve despised me as a murderer, but when push comes to shove, we’re the same.”
Suki vehemently replied, “We are not the same!” Despite the rising tension, viewers were left puzzled by Nish’s apparent miraculous recovery. Not long ago, the character, who suffers from a severe heart condition requiring a transplant, was seen struggling for survival in the hospital.
His sudden turnaround bewildered many fans, prompting them to take to social media to express their confusion. One viewer incredulously questioned, “Wait, isn’t Nish dying of a heart condition? What happened to that? Where is he getting all this energy to shout and scream and throw his weight around? He was gasping for breath in a hospital bed a couple of weeks ago!”
Fans noted the inconsistency in the storyline, with one pointing out, “Did #Eastenders forget about Nish’s heart condition when he was grabbing and shouting at Suki tonight? Last time he did that, he was almost at death’s door…”
Another viewer expressed disbelief, commenting, “Nish is doing remarkably well for someone supposedly on their deathbed.”
A further fan added, “Nish should just hurry up and die; he was knocking on death’s door a few weeks ago. Where’s he found this sudden energy to terrorize Suki?”
In a dramatic twist later in the episode, Suki found herself alone and left a heartfelt voicemail for Eve, confessing her love and stating that she wanted to be with no one else but her. However, in a shocking turn of events, she then called Nish downstairs and, under pressure to keep him quiet about the Six and Denise’s attack on him last year, reluctantly agreed to let him “take her back” from Eve for one night.
