After baby Ivy was abducted, Vanessa Woodfield visited Rhona Goskirk on Friday night in Emmerdale.
When Michelle Hardwick’s character Vanessa Woodfield returned to the ITV soap opera Emmerdale on Friday night, it sent fans into a frenzy.
In order to escape to Canada with baby Ivy, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) abducted the child during the episode. She was planning their route, and they were staying well out of the village.
When Rhona heard a knock at the door near the end of the installment, she became worried that her husband Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) had found her.
But Vanessa was the one screaming “Oi, it’s me!” at the door. Upon realizing it was safe to respond, Rhona said, “Of course it’s you.”
As soon as Rhona let Vanessa inside, she said, “Thank you, I knew you’d come!”
Rhona was overjoyed to see her son, Johnny, arrive and remarked to him, “Johnny, look at you, you’re so grown up.”
Vanessa sighed, “He’s knackered, we both are.” Are we now proceeding or stopping? Can we just get right to it, since we just finished a round-the-world flight?”
Vanessa was shocked to see a defenseless infant in a cot when they entered the cottage Rhona was staying at.
“Rhona, what the hell have you done?” she yelled, looking worried.
Since Vanessa hasn’t been seen in a while, Emmerdale fans flocked to Twitter to comment on her return.
“VANESSA WOODFIELD IS HOME #Emmerdale,” exclaimed Megan. (sic)
“No Mack and a surprise Vanessa return in #Emmerdale,” said a second fan. It was a nice day today!”
“After all, heaven is a place on earth,” a third fan said. #VanessaElizabethWoodfield #emmerdale.”
With sobbing emojis, someone else commented, “It’s unbelievable that Vanessa Woodfield is back.”
Will Vanessa persuade Rhona to follow the proper course of action and accompany Ivy back to the village?
