Emmerdale fans are voicing their frustration after noticing a major blunder in a recent episode of the ITV soap.

In the episode that aired on Thursday (October 31), Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) invited Dr. Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Ella Forster (Paula Lane) to a Halloween event at the pub. However, Liam struggled to hide his feelings for Chas. Following an awkward love confession from Liam, which Chas responded to with a kiss, he decided to end his relationship with Ella. Despite this, Liam and Ella showed up together at the Woolpack’s Halloween party, leaving Chas heartbroken.

As the romantic tension among Liam, Chas, and Ella intensified, viewers spotted that Jonny McPherson was still wearing his ITV lanyard while filming his scenes as the village doctor.

One keen observer tweeted, “Obsessed with Dr. Liam wearing his ITV-branded lanyard #Emmerdale.” Another chimed in with, “Great spot,” while a third wrote, “Ridiculous.” A fourth viewer questioned, “How is this stuff not spotted?”

Despite the growing chemistry between them, Chas is determined not to be “the other woman” and insists that Liam needs to resolve his issues with Ella first.

Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas, shared her thoughts with Digital Spy about her character’s romantic possibilities with Liam. She said, “I think she’s probably reverting to what she knows because she’s afraid to move forward with someone new. But it’ll be interesting to see if it develops into something more.”

Lucy continued, “I think Liam and Chas make an intriguing couple. When Paddy was with Chas, many people said they weren’t a good match. Liam is quite different from Chas, but I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. They could potentially be a good match.”
