EMMERDALE fans are starting to theorize that Ruby Fox-Milligan may be on the brink of a steamy affair storyline.
The Dales resident, portrayed by actress Beth Cordingly, has had her marriage to Caleb Miligan pushed to the breaking point in recent days.
Ruby was stunned to learn that Caleb had secretly visited her dying mother without her knowledge, preventing her from saying goodbye.
Her anger escalated when it was revealed that he had secretly taken £100,000 from Helen’s inheritance without informing anyone. He tried to cover it up by pretending he had no knowledge of the situation to Ruby.
However, while looking into the will, Ruby was shocked to hear from the solicitor that she had discussed the missing £100,000 with Caleb.
When Ruby confronted Caleb about the situation, he feigned ignorance, claiming that “a few grand” had gone missing according to the solicitor, completely unaware that Ruby already knew the exact amount.
With their relationship seemingly in ruins, fans of the ITV soap are urging Ruby to move on, and they have a familiar face in mind.
As his Emmerdale return approaches, fans believe that the handsome Ross Barton could be the perfect match for Ruby.
Speculating on X, one fan commented, “Caleb is so full of s**t; I hope queen Ruby has an affair with Ross when he comes back.”
Ross’s return to the show is imminent with actor Mike Parr being seen on-set for the first time since his exit last month.
The character has been away for six years, and in true Emmerdale fashion, his return is expected to be ‘explosive’.
In 2018, Ross left the village with Rebecca and baby Seb for a fresh start in Liverpool after a five-year run. But now he’s back—and fans can expect fireworks.

“Ross is a character I’m extremely fond of, and I’m excited to explore what he’s been up to over the past five years.
