Fans of Emmerdale are certain that Rhona Goskirk’s situation is going to get worse because her ex-husband Gus Malcolms intends to leave the show with their child Ivy.

The fans of Emmerdale think they’ve figured out a big twist because Rhona Goskirk lost it over Ivy the baby.

The vet, who is portrayed by Zoe Henry in the ITV soap opera, had to bid the toddler farewell for one night earlier this week when her father Gus Malcolms took her home. Devoted viewers will be aware that Ivy was born as a result of Gus and his late wife forcibly stealing the frozen embryos that Rhona and he had fertilized during their marriage.

Soon after Rhona learned of Gus’ secret and confronted him and his wife Lucy about it, the beseeching mother went into early labor and passed away. Ivy quickly sent Gus into a deep depression, and he was unable to handle her. Rhona and her mother Mary stepped in to help pick up the pieces.

However, this strategy quickly backfired when Rhona developed feelings of maternal attachment for the child and began to believe that she was Ivy’s mother. Gus revealed on Monday, February 5, that he had gradually come to terms with his loss and felt strong enough to watch Ivy for the night.

Rhona, who struggled to sleep the entire night while her daughter stayed with her dad, can fairly say that the decision crushed her. Rhona and Gus got back together on Tuesday, February 6, to talk about how his night with Ivy went.

At this point, he disclosed that he was prepared to care for Ivy full-time and that they were beginning the process of looking for a long-term residence away from the Dales. Rhona was devastated by the news and left the cafe quickly, with Marlon pursuing her.

The chef trailed her home and, while trying to console her, discovered her upset in the kitchen. She retorted, “It was just so fast,” to his warning, “We always knew it was going to happen.” I’m not prepared. Marlon, I adore her. I cherish her.

Rhona tried using housework as a diversion later in the show, but it wasn’t enough, and she quickly gave up. After everything Rhona had done to support him this year, Marlon took Gus to the pub at the end of the episode and suggested they share parenting Ivy.

He remarked, “It’s not easy to take on the care of a little life like Ivy’s and not care.” Individuals share parental responsibilities. Adults get together, have adult conversations, and reach adult decisions.

Gus, unimpressed with his proposal, merely replied, “Yeah… It’s something we can think about.” Before long, fans were flooding X, the former name of Twitter, with their suspicions regarding Rhona’s online response.

A user enquired, “#emmerdale What action will Rhona take? A runner holding the infant? “I think there’s a storyline coming up where Rhona disappears with the baby,” said another. I mean, #emmerdale, FFS.

“#Emmerdale of course it’s bloody obvious Rhona’s gonna do something really, really stupid,” echoed a third. “#Emmerdale don’t let Rhona run off with the baby,” a fourth person commented.

Watchers will have to wait and see how Rhona responds when Ivy moves in with her dad and establishes a life apart from the Dales. Weekdays, Emmerdale airs on ITV1 at 7:30 p.m.; on ITVX, you can catch up.
