Nicola King is in for a huge shock in upcoming Emmerdale episodes when her daughter, Angelica, makes a chilling confession.

Angelica, played by Rebecca Bakes, has been part of the ITV soap since 2009. Earlier this year, she was sentenced for her role in the death of Heath Hope (Sebastian Dowling) due to dangerous driving.

In upcoming scenes, Nicola is horrified when Angelica admits to having a deeply ingrained evil nature. This unsettling revelation follows an outburst from Angelica after her mother suggests she should return to school.

As Nicola grapples with her daughter’s disturbing words, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) steps in to offer support. She encourages Nicola to try and mend her relationship with her husband, Jimmy (Nick Miles), but the question remains: will they be able to reconcile?

Angelica’s return to the village, just months after her sentence, marks a tense moment for the family. The troubled teen had previously confessed to driving Wendy Posner’s (Susan Cookson) stolen car, which led to a fatal accident with Heath and Cathy (Gabrielle Dowling). Heath’s tragic death resulted in Angelica being sent to a secure children’s facility for an eight-month sentence.

Following Heath’s death, Sebastian Dowling, who portrayed Heath, shared his emotional farewells on Instagram. Posting several pictures, he expressed his gratitude: “Thanks to everyone @emmerdale for such a fun time filming over the 17 years,” alongside shots from his final day on set, including filming the crash scene.

Fans expressed their sorrow, with one writing, “Absolutely sobbed when I watched the final scene. You’ve been amazing! Good luck to your future.” Another fan said, “So proud of you, always best luck in the future.” A third shared, “Ahh, it was such a shock, so emotional—got me crying, I can’t lie. All the best for the future, you will be missed.”
