Recently, there have been some scandalous relationships on Emmerdale, and Charity (Emma Atkins) is well known for having a peculiar taste in men (for heavens’ sake, Chris Tate, Tom King, and Cain Dingle). But my goodness, her most recent pick for a potential bedmate takes the cake.
Before we even discuss this surprising pairing, let’s take a moment to recall how Charity recently made another bad choice when she slept with her cheating ex Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) while Chloe (Jessie Elland) anxiously sought to plan the Christening.
Although Charity believed it was rekindling their romance, Mackenzie made it abundantly plain that it was finished, leaving her heartbroken once more. Charity vowed to move on rather than rant about Mack’s adultery.
She creates a plan because, as Dua Lipa once sagely observed, “If you’re under him, you ain’t getting over him.” She has a plan that involves getting under someone else because that is the easiest method to get around someone.
Gail challenges her to propose to the next person to enter the Woolpack, and she agrees. And who ought to do it? Why, that would be Dr. Love. Liam! When Liam finds himself in Charity’s hands, the exam table in the clinic is hardly cold (though we hope it has been sterilised) from all the sex with Wendy. She strikes and sets them up on a date.
After accepting the invitation, Liam (Jonny McPherson) and the couple travel to The Hide for a romantic evening.
And surprisingly, everything goes very nicely. Liam gets seduced by Charity’s charm, forgetting about Wendy (Susan Cookson), and begins to fantasize about getting into mischief with Charity.
Is this the newest insane couple to appear in the community?
