Daisy Campbell, who has been playing Amelia Spencer on Emmerdale since 2011, has experienced some major plot twists on the show. In contrast, her personal life is much quieter and more private than the drama her character faces.

Daisy Campbell, who portrays Amelia Spencer in the ITV soap Emmerdale, has taken on some intense storylines, including a teenage pregnancy and the discovery of her biological father. Recently, her character entered into a relationship with Tom King (James Chase), despite his abusive behavior towards Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper). The plot is expected to climax soon, with Tom potentially heading to jail as Belle finally gets justice.

In contrast, Daisy’s real life is much more relaxed. The 21-year-old actress keeps her followers updated on social media, often sharing glamorous photos from vacations to destinations like Ibiza, Dubai, and Paris.

Daisy grew up in Leeds and trained at the Scala School of Performing Arts and Rebel Acting School. She’s not the only one in her family pursuing exciting ventures—her younger brother Finley appeared in a Sainsbury’s advert, and her sister Rhona is a national dance champion. Daisy is thought to still live at home with her family, according to The Mirror.

Daisy Campbell has also shared how fans sometimes confuse her with her Emmerdale character, Amelia Spencer. In a lighthearted interview with The Sun, Daisy revealed: “It’s so funny. When people see me on a night out, they ask, ‘Where’s your baby?’ And when Amelia was pregnant in the show, I’d have people coming up to me, asking, ‘Oh, so you’re not pregnant in real life then?’ or even saying I shouldn’t be drinking ‘in my condition.'”

Reflecting on her acting career, Daisy recalled her early love for performing: “It’s crazy when I think about it. I was always passionate about dancing from a young age, and my dance teacher encouraged my mum to enroll me in drama school. A year later, I landed Emmerdale and have been part of it ever since.”

“Everyone was supportive and I surrounded myself with a really nice group of girls, who I’m still great friends with. I went to performing arts college after my GCSEs but quickly realised that all I wanted to do was work at Emmerdale full-time, so I decided to give it up.

“There’s no better experience than working on the job so I decided to make it my priority – and I’ve not looked back.”
