Emmerdale star James Moore recently shared his dreams of starting a family after marrying his partner Sophie Edwards at a picturesque lakeside manor earlier this week.
The 32-year-old actor, known for his role as Ryan Stock, discussed their future plans while Sophie reminisced about their first date in a heartfelt interview.
James expressed that the experience still felt “surreal” and mentioned that they hope to take a honeymoon in Florida next year before having children. Speaking to Magazine, he added, “We need to find a house first. Our flat is too full of my vinyl records to fit a baby in!”
The couple, who connected on Bumble nearly six years ago, got engaged in 2022. Sophie recalled, “I didn’t know James was disabled until he told me, and I had no idea he was on Emmerdale until he mentioned it. My mum, though, is a big Emmerdale fan… she was over the moon!”

During their wedding ceremony, James moved Sophie to tears as he spoke openly about his experiences living with cerebral palsy, a lifelong condition that affects movement and coordination.
Held at a romantic venue near Cheltenham, the wedding was attended by a hundred guests. James brought a splash of color, wearing a deep purple suit inspired by the Joker, paired with light blue Oxford shoes, lilac laces, and a patterned tie.
Sophie wore a stunning, princess-style gown decorated with leaf details, and her bouquet included soft pink roses to match James’s outfit.

In their wedding video, James was visibly emotional as he watched Sophie walk down the aisle with her mother to McFly’s “All About You,” a touching moment that left guests teary-eyed as they exchanged vows.
For the celebration, the couple showed off their unique personalities with a doughnut wall inspired by The Simpsons and a temporary tattoo station featuring Pokémon designs.
James had hinted at their wedding back in September, posting a photo of their wedding rings on Instagram, which they had crafted together. “Can’t believe it’s less than two months until Soph and I get married!” he wrote, adding that it felt incredibly special to make their own rings as a symbol of their commitment.

The actor also celebrated their four-year anniversary in June with a heartfelt post, sharing several happy selfies and writing, “Four years today with my favorite person, my partner, my best friend, and now my fiancée! I’m so lucky and grateful for everything you do for me. I love you and can’t wait to marry you next year.”
James, who has ataxic cerebral palsy—the same condition his character Ryan has—made history in 2019 when he became the first disabled actor to win a National Television Award, receiving the Best Newcomer accolade.
