Emmerdale star Natalie J Robb has welcomed a new puppy into her life following the emotional loss of her dog earlier this year. The actress, best known for her role as Moira Dingle, recently rescued a six-month-old puppy from Spain.
Natalie was devastated by the death of her dog, Bronson, in February after 13-and-a-half years together. However, she is now finding joy with her new pup, Buddy.
She described Buddy as a “Spanish Mastin” who “looks like Bambi”—tall with beautiful black eyeliner around his eyes. “He looks like a dog on stilts right now,” she added. “He was so frightened when he arrived, but within two minutes, he was cuddling us.”
Natalie also shared a special connection between her late dog and Buddy. She explained that after getting a necklace made with some of Bronson’s fur, she had a dream about a beige dog with black eyes and a black nose. Two weeks later, she saw Buddy and felt it was meant to be. “It was uncanny, and the next day they called,” she recalled.
Calling Buddy an early “Christmas present,” Natalie is looking forward to spending the festive period with him. She plans to take him on walks and is already enjoying their time together, ensuring Buddy feels at home after his long journey from Spain.
Natalie also revealed that she’s been asking Emmerdale bosses to give her character, Moira, an on-screen pet, saying, “It would be lovely.” She pointed out that on the farm, there are often cats, and she finds it odd that her character doesn’t have one.
