Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) was left frustrated after her husband Jimmy (Nick Miles) reaffirmed his decision not to ask Tom (James Chase) to leave, despite the family’s concerns about him moving back into the home.

As viewers know, Jimmy is determined to stand by Tom, who is under investigation for domestic abuse following Belle Dingle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) report to the police. While Nicola initially believed Tom, she soon grew suspicious when her own son Carl Holliday (Charlie Joyce) became scared of the vet. After investigating, she discovered that Tom had terrorized Carl in an attempt to cover up his actions.

When Nicola confronted Tom, he denied everything, and Jimmy ultimately sided with his version of events. However, Nicola saw Tom for who he really was and, concerned for her children’s safety, moved out of Victoria Cottage and into Mulberry with Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy).

Things took a turn when Nicola realized she needed Jimmy’s support after Angelica (Rebecca Bakes), who had recently been released from a secure children’s home, confided in her mother that she thought she was “evil.” Nicola returned to Victoria Cottage, where Jimmy comforted her, and they both headed to Mulberry in the hope of speaking with Angelica.

Angel was glad to see her dad, though she quickly realized his visit was more of an intervention. She was also confused about how her parents could handle anything when they were living apart. As Jimmy tried to offer a solution, he gave Angel hope, suggesting they might move back together.

Nicola, intrigued by his comment, asked if he had changed his stance on Tom. Jimmy, however, backtracked, reminding her that Tom was still family, which led to a heated argument between the couple.

Frustrated by her parents’ constant fighting, Angelica excused herself to do her homework.

Now the question remains: Will Jimmy finally see Tom for what he truly is and realize that his family needs him more than ever? Or will he continue to deny the truth, clinging to the belief that Tom is a good person?
