Exclusive: Rhona Goskirk from Emmerdale has abducted baby Ivy; however, what will become of the unstable villager?
Baby Ivy will soon be abducted by Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), who finds out the child’s father wants to move to France with her.
Technically not the baby’s mother, Rhona decides to leave the village with Ivy because she can’t bear the thought of living without her.
The scene occurs following scenes this week in which the baby’s father, Gus Malcolm (Alan McKenna), states he wants Ivy back full-time.
The Emmerdale veterinarian hoped that without Rhona’s and her husband Marlon Dingle’s (Mark Charnock) help, he wouldn’t be able to handle.
But Gus seems to be getting along better with his daughter and managing his grief after his wife passed away during giving birth.
After Rhona and baby Ivy leave the village, Marlon gets crazy and goes looking for them.
Actress Zoe from Rhona spoke candidly with Express.co.uk about the challenging plot before the exit scene aired.
Zoe revealed a tease about what might happen, saying, “I think what excites me about the storyline is how controversial it is.
“No one wins. There aren’t any losers. Everyone has a different perspective on it, and that is the general consensus.
Although she described the plot of the ITV soap opera as “complex,” she believed viewers could see “it from all sides.”
Rhona’s frozen embryos were used without her knowledge by Gus, her ex-husband, and his late wife, who desired a child of their own.
Upon learning that Gus’s wife was expecting and passed away during childbirth, Rhona felt that Ivy was hers. She has been getting close to Ivy and helping Gus, who has been grieving for months.
Marlon has been torn about the whole thing. Can he support Rhona’s decision to leave the village with Ivy? He knows she was his rock when he suffered a deliberate stroke before their wedding.
Zoe continued: “So I think he knows, you know, if he wants his marriage to survive, he’s probably got to support her, but I think he really is in love with that little baby as well, by this point.”
