General Hospital cast: New, leaving and returning characters

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) – returning

Laura, one of Port Charles’ most recognizable residents, has battled the Cassadines to become the city’s new mayor, all while juggling her marriage to Luke Spencer and overcoming murder suspicions.

Lulu Spencer-Falconeri and Lucky Spencer are her current children.

She also has six grandchildren: Charlotte and Spener Cassadine, the late Nikolas Cassadine’s children; Rocco Falconeri, Lulu’s child; and Cameron, Jake, Cameron, and Aiden Webber, Lucky’s children.

Martin Grey (Michael Knight) – returning

Martin Grey, the son of Gordon and Florence Grey, is played by Michael Knight.

He is also the step-brother of freshly elected mayor Laura Collins and the brother of drug lord Cyrus Renault.

Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) – leaving

Kin Shriner, who played attorney Scott Baldwin on General Hospital, has announced that his current contract has expired.

He made his first appearance as Baldwin on General Hospital in 1977.

He had previously left the show for short intervals to portray various characters on other soap operas, but he remained a regular cast member on General Hospital.

He is one of the few actors who has played the same character in the same scripted television show for six decades.

Shriner was born in New York City to the late Eileen “Pixie” McDermott and television celebrity Herb Shriner. His twin brother, actor Wil Shriner, is also an actor.

Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) is back on the show.

According to SoapDirt.com, Wagner has inked a deal with General Hospital and is looking for some interesting storylines.

Finola Hughes, played by Anna Devane and a long-time friend of the legacy character, is reunited with her shortly after, and the two collaborate to catch Wes Ramsey, played by Peter August.

In 2019, Wagner reflected on her 35-year career at General Hospital and how it shaped both her professional and personal lives.

Selina Wu (Lydia Look) – leaving

Lydia Look has taken an extended trip to see her family in Singapore and will not be reprising her part as Selina Wu for a while.

Her return date has not yet been set, but she intends to return.

Brick (Stephen A. Smith) – returning

On January 14, Stephen A. Smith returned to General Hospital to reprise his role as Brick.

He was supposed to appear in scenes with Maurice Benard’s character Sonny.

Smith appeared on the serial as a reporter during the Metro Court Hostage Crisis in 2007.

Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) – returning

According to her official Facebook profile, Constance Towers returned to ABC studios in December to tape an upcoming episode of General Hospital.

There’s no word yet on whether Helena will appear in this episode as a ghost or as a living person.

Her episode has yet to be scheduled for broadcast.

Helena hasn’t been seen since February 2020. Valentin saw Cassadine in a ghostly form when he realized he wasn’t a genuine Cassadine.

Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) – new

the new Viron Weaver made his debut as Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos.

He replaced twin actors Caleb and Kyler Ends in the role.

Weaver has also appeared in the films Fame-ish and BearCity 3.

Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain) – new

Amelie McLain made her General Hospital debut as Charlotte Cassadine on December 21.

On December 20, Scarlett Fernandez announced her departure from the soap opera Charlotte on Instagram.

She stated, ” “I’m grateful to @fvalentinigh and @markteschner for giving me this opportunity in 2016.

“My favorite role was Charlotte Cassadine, and I’m sorry it’s over.

“I’ll miss my castmates and crew, and I’m confident that the audience will rally around the new actress who will play Charlotte. Thank you so much for your help!”

Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) – returning

Parry Shen made his comeback to the soap on December 10 to play Brad Cooper, a former General Hospital employee.

Shen has appeared in films such as Better Luck Tomorrow and Surrogate Valentine.

Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) – returning

Lexi Ainsworth said on Instagram that she’s back on set of General Hospital, hinting that she’ll return to her role as Kristina Corinthos-Davis.

Alexis disclosed to Victor on the December 2 episode of General Hospital that Kristina and Molly were out with friends on Thanksgiving, and fans have been demanding for a return.

Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) – returning

Emma Samms has been unable to return to General Hospital since the outbreak.

The actress became ill with Covid-19 and was unable to participate in the show.

She will, however, return at some point.
