The General Hospital recaps for August 7 – August 11, 2023, feature a bar brawl, a burning, a bungled caper, and so much more.
Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) portray content families. Cody’s (Josh Kelly) attempt to see Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) is thwarted. Darin Toonder’s Dr. Montague administers another hallucinogen to Sasha. Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) get into an argument. Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) establish a sincere bond.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) receives the lowdown on Austin (Roger Howarth) and several Pawtuck crew members from Brick (Stephen A. Smith). Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), according to Anna (Finola Hughes), is the link between the shady Pikeman Group, the WSB, and Sonny.
Martin (Michael E. Knight) is reassured by Cyrus (Jeff Kober) that he has indeed given up his material possessions. Before being sent back to Pentonville, Cyrus and Austin engage in a pointed parting eyelock. Austin is under threat from Mason of being accused of killing Gordon. In order to infiltrate Ferncliff, Cody enlists Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) assistance. Unfortunately for the two, Sasha can’t tell the difference between reality and her hallucinations.
Ned (Wally Kurth) flees after overhearing Tracy (Jane Elliot) suggesting that he be committed. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) and Tracy argue. Anna insists that Valentin tell her the truth about his interactions with Pikeman.
Curtis (Donnell Turner) gets some food for thought from Marshall and Jordan (Robert Gossett and Tanisha Harper). Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer are separated by Portia (Brook Kerr) at all costs. A reconciliation between Olivia and Carly (Laura Wright) occurs. Nina and Sonny talk about their wedding dates. Gregory and Nancy Lee Grahn’s character, Alexis, develop a friendship and discuss Gregory’s impending death. Jordan and Dante analyze the Metro Court swimming pool shooting.
Curtis and Trina discuss their feelings candidly. Marshall makes an effort to uplift Portia. She is still completely out of control due to Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) brood. Maxie is advised to rent out Dante and Lulu’s previous residence by Sam (Kelly Monaco). Dante and Anna speculate about the Pikeman Group’s involvement in her almost being killed. The Highsider night out for Olivia and Carly does not go as planned. Ned develops feelings for Carly, and Olivia draws Mason to her like a moth to a flame. After Olivia rejects Mason, Carly slams Mason with a bottle.
As Anna is out for a late-night run, someone sets fire to her home. Elizabeth was requested by Finn to be Violet’s guardian. Carly, Olivia, and “Eddie” are taken down to the PCPD. To get them, they each call Sonny, Josslyn (Eden McCoy), and Dante. Mason travels to Austin, who attends to his wound.
