‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers show that Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews)  may be seen when he struggles to accept the truth of Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) paternity.

He felt as though he was losing contact with Trina after she expressed regret over missing their breakfast date because she had to be at the hospital. He recognizes Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) situation, but he finds Trina’s openness with him disturbing.

Trina worries that she might lose the opportunity to meet her biological father because she adores Curtis and is curious about her family history. Sadly, their relationship has recently been strained and doesn’t seem to be improving anytime soon.

Despite his sincere efforts to be a caring father figure, Taggert feels unjustly alienated as a result of the DNA results. Trina’s years of love and care cannot be quickly forgotten, thus this feels unfair.

After being overcome with a tremendous sense of loss, Taggert has turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism. Soon after realizing he was Trina’s father, he began drinking, and it has since become a consistent issue.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Things Get WORSE For Marcus Taggert’s (Réal Andrews), Light At The End Of The Tunnel?

After Trina left Taggert at Kelly’s, he began to recently add alcohol to his coffee from his flask, signaling a concerning path towards potential risks such drunken outbursts or accidents.

Since Taggert was recommended by Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) for the position of police commissioner, his alcoholism may jeopardize his ability to obtain the job. She was in favor of him adopting her stance even if there were no guarantees.

But if Taggert’s downward trajectory persists, it might have an impact on the result of the previous interview or, worse, make him appear inebriated at work. Such consequences might significantly shorten his tenure as Port Charles’ police commissioner.

It is still to be seen if Taggert will be able to overcome these challenges or if his drinking will further jeopardize his future as he experiences harsher phases.

How do you feel? Will things get worse and worse for Taggert, or is there any chance of improvement? Tell us in the comments section below.
