For Monday, August 28, General Hospital spoilers and updates hint at family updates, friendly favors, and hasty parent reconciliations. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) begs for a favor, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) provides a family update, and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) desperately seeks a parent-child reconciliation.

General Hospital Spoilers: Elizabeth Baldwin Comforts Hamilton Finn

Following Gregory Chase’s (Gregory Harrison) revelation that he has ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) tries to console Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). She warns Finn not to waste the opportunity that is right in front of him as he laments the time he has lost with his dying father. Already berating himself for the years he wasted with Gregory, which were his fault, Finn even changed his last name to that of his mother. Elizabeth explains that when he is dwelling on the past, it is all too easy to forget about the present and the time they do have left together.

The only advantage of a terminal illness over an unexpected death is that they can do their best to make the most of Gregory’s remaining time.

GH Spoilers: Family Updates

At the hospital, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) receives an update from Marshall who asks if she thinks it’s good news. Marshall might be referring to him ensuring that Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) threats don’t stop Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) club, The Savoy, from operating. He might also be discussing Curtis’ physical therapy progress; the fact that his stubborn son even agreed to it represented a significant step forward for him. Although Curtis has made progress with his upper body strength, he still has a long road ahead of him. He is also still quite resistant to getting back together with Portia.

General Hospital Spoilers: Lucy Coe Confronts Martin Grey

Deception Cosmetics is being sued for allegedly stealing the concept for the product “The Deceptor” from Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight). After he had warned her against doing so, Lucy started to wonder why he hadn’t proposed to her. Martin received sizable payments drawn on a Pine Valley, Pennsylvania, bank as a result of some investigative work she and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) had done. Lucy may have assumed that this was coming from Martin’s third ex-wife, in which case they broke into Walt Willey’s (Attorney Jackson Montgomery’s) office. Now that he is suing Deception once more, Lucy confronts Martin and calls him an idiot for believing him.

GH Spoilers: Friendly Favors

In another scene, Anna approaches her ex-husband Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and requests a favor without hesitation. Both of them have left the WSB, as has Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), whom she believes is being blackmailed, perhaps because of her past. She finds it hard to believe that Valentin would have set her house on fire and abandoned her, as Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) had predicted. Anna is doubting Valentin’s relationship to Pikeman as well, and she might want Robert to use his connections to help solve the mystery.

General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Spencer Presses Diane Miller

At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) home, she keeps pushing lawyer Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) to work on getting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) a quick release. It’s a big ask because an inmate who has accepted a plea deal typically can’t get an appeal like that to be taken seriously. Drew’s sentence was harshly biased by the judge, so perhaps there is a way to have it reduced on that basis. As Carly keeps pleading with Diane to assist her and Drew, she is nearly in tears. She then requests her confirmation before accepting the case.

GH Spoilers: Frantic Parental Reconciliation

Trina’s remark that there has to be a way to get her parents back together is clear evidence that she is discussing her parents’ relationship with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Even though Portia wants to make amends with Curtis, he is adamant about not doing so. Due to Curtis’s wheelchair, their marriage hasn’t even been finalized and might never be. Trina had a difficult time forgiving her mother for keeping the possibility that Curtis was her father a secret from her, but at least he is communicating with her. She obviously wants them to get back together, and she seems incredibly anxious to do so.

General Hospital Spoilers: Stubborn Nephew Versus Stubborn Aunt

Meanwhile, Stella Henry (Vernée Watson) and Curtis appear to be having a minor argument at the rehab, pitting an obstinate nephew against an obstinate aunt. Stella is informed by Curtis, who is in a wheelchair, that he is prepared to return home. Stella argues with him and says, “Oh no, you’re not!” Stella is aware that Curtis might still need to undergo some additional physical healing, despite the fact that it might take some time. She doesn’t want him to give up too soon and accept being able to raise and lower himself from his wheelchair seat. Make sure to stay current with everything that GH is doing right now.
